Historic partnership of emergency medicine organizations

The ACEP stands for American College of Emergency Physicians and it is responsible for looking after all the factors related to the emergency physicians. Founded in the year 1968, the organization has its headquarters in Irving, Texas. The organization has some terms and conditions that a physician needs to follow in order to be a part of it. ACEP provides active membership to those physicians those fulfill any of the given criteria’s. A physician either must have completed an ACGME approved emergency medicine residency program or the physician must have an AOA approved emergency medicine residency completed. The physician can also be a member if he has been certified by any emergency medicine body that has been in turn approved by ACEP. If any physician has been practicing emergency medicines since or before the year 2000 may also apply for the same.

This new program aims to build a better and even more precise emergency medicine system in the United States. The name of the new venture has been decided as the Emergency Medicine Action Fund and it has had collections of $1.1 million till now and that speaks volumes of the new initiative. ACEP wants to better the emergency service in the United States and also work towards the welfare of the physicians who regulate as emergency physicians. The steps are being taken because of the rise in the number of emergency cases of late.
